Hello everyone!
WOW!!! The third annual Charlotte BookPalooza was a BLAST!! Thank you so much to every reader who came out to support us and BookPalooza despite the chilly rainy weather and the crazy lines (I can’t believe it wrapped around Truist Field twice?! I love how much love there is for books here!!). I absolutely loved meeting you all and hope you found plenty of books to snuggle down with when you got home!
Massive thank you to Books On the House for organizing BookPalooza!! You’re a fantastic non-profit with a true heart for books and I know this event was a huge project to plan even before the projected number of attendees skyrocketed beyond our wildest dreams and the weather decided to turn nasty. You took the challenges in stride and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next year!
Also thank you Erin Archer for being the best suite buddy!! The weather took a turn and the author set-up had to change, but honestly I had so much fun with you I’m thankful for the last minute chaos that threw us together! Finally thank you to my husband for not only handling the drive from mountains to big city AND being the muscle helping me to carry all of my books, but for helping out in many ways when things got busy whether assisting readers and replacing stock or making sure I stayed hydrated and fed lol!
This was my biggest book festival/event yet and I am thrilled with how it went! I hope I get to do more exciting events like this and continue to meet more readers!
