Hello everyone!
Today has finally arrived!!! This bittersweet standalone 1950s vampire novel began in 2015/2016 and now, almost a decade later, is published for you to read! Although there are characters that are vampires within it, the story is truly centered around friendship, freedom, love, and more all set in the vague 1950s southeast USA. This story is very special to me and I truly hope you enjoy it. ♡

A bittersweet story of a girl and a vampyre on a quest to discover what it means to be alive.
When Moxie, a human aspiring artist fresh out of high school, stumbles across Tom, a handsome WWII veteran turned vampyre, she has to quickly adapt to the reality of supernatural monsters in the world. Human monsters, however, she’s been well aware of and Tom is nothing of the kind in more ways than one. In fact, he might just be the key to her freedom in this era of sock hops and white picket fences.
Johnny “Tom Cat” thought his life had ended on the battlefield only to discover his ending would be far longer and excruciatingly slower leading him to drift across the United States wondering if he should simply…stop. Despite rejection and haunting memories that plague his every feigned breath, Tom finds that Moxie’s unconventional bright spirit just might be the one thing able to penetrate his darkness and resurrect his ability to live.

I’m so excited to share this book with you!! I hope you’ll leave a review after you’ve read it and, if possible, stop by one of my book signings! I’ll also have a few copies stocked at Editions Bookstore and Fred & June’s Books if you prefer to shop small/local (please do!).
If you’re worried about the content ratings of this story, I’m really not sure if I’d categorize it as YA or not, but, as always, it’s PG-13 at most so if you have worries, don’t, and if you don’t then you’re all set too!

What’s next remains obscure at the moment. I’ve completed two series as audiobooks and have now released my twentieth title. Besides a short story anthology coming this fall (Ghosts? Library? Meet Cute??) and a multi-author novella series coming in 2026 (Hansel & Gretel‘s witch falls in love??), I’m really not sure what I want to do though my brain is brimming with both ideas and fears, but for now please enjoy this historical fiction with a fanged twist. ♡
Stay tuned…
