I’ve got some exciting news!! Solus, the second book in the Walking Shadows dystopian sci-fi series, has been made into an audiobook and it’s now available on Audible!
Solus picks up the story with Bones as its protagonist and PJ Freebourn was the perfect narrator for his adventure. He and Paige Reisenfeld (who narrated Alarum) have both agreed to take on the entire Walking Shadows audiobook series and I couldn’t be happier! Not only are they incredibly talented and their voices suit the series perfectly, but they both had genuine interest in my characters and their stories. This could have been just a job for them, but they went so far above and beyond that and their passion for the project has been a dream come true for me.
PJ is the sole narrator for this book (though Paige makes a brief appearance hehe) and I was sure he was the right narrator for it but once we had a virtual meeting and he was eager to dive into character work, story arcs, etc. I knew I’d absolutely made the right decision. Just like Paige, PJ put his performance and directing background to work and has delivered an incredible performance. It’s been so fun hearing his voices and his portrayal of Bones’s story! I know I love this latest installment in the audio series, but I hope you will too!
Warning: There’s an original song in this audiobook too and this one is so catchy you might be at risk of having it stuck in your head lol.
2023 is turning out to be a very exciting year packed with audio releases! Walking Shadows is slated to wrap by the end of the year which means soon you’ll be able to binge the series via your favorite audiobook platform!
Oh! Before I forget… all of my audiobooks, including this one, will be non-exclusive to Audible because despite the royalty cut I really want libraries and readers of all kinds to have access. Be sure to ask your local library to request a copy when it becomes available! (Currently it’s only up on Amazon and Audible, but hopefully soon it’ll start being listed on other retailers and library platforms. Keep an eye on my social media where I’ll update you! If for some reason it isn’t available yet on your favorite audiobook platform, just give it a week or so and by then hopefully the full distribution roll out will be complete.)

Looking for an update on the Battle del Espíritu audiobook? The narrators had some life obstacles pop up that have delayed production, but I’m thankful for their work and am trying to work with them to get the project rolling without overtaxing them with everything else they’ve got going on. I can’t wait to have yet another installment in the Fifth Sun series available on audio!
